MILWAUKEE – Georgetown University's men's lacrosse team remained unbeaten in the BIG EAST standings with a thrilling 15-14 overtime victory at Marquette on Saturday afternoon. The No. 9/10 Hoyas won their seventh-straight game to improve to 7-3 overall and 3-0 in league play while the Golden Eagles fall to 6-6 and 1-2 in conference action.

How it Happened
- A battle from the start, both squads traded goals back-and-forth the entire first quarter. Marquette jumped on the board first, followed by three-straight goals from the Hoyas to lead 3-1 at the 9:33 mark. Trading goals down the stretch, the Golden Eagles scored with 15 seconds remaining in the frame to even up the score at 5-5.
- In the second, Georgetown pushed its lead to 7-5 behind goals from Bundy and Minicus but MU kept pace, scoring two of the next three goals as the Blue & Gray took an 8-7 lead going into halftime.
- Coming out of the break, Marquette scored three goals and held GU scoreless for 10 minutes to retake the lead at 10-8. The Hoyas responded in full, answering with three unanswered goals to close out the third, including two goals nine seconds apart from Dordevic and Reilly to lead 11-10.
- In the fourth, the Golden Eagles retook the lead at 12-11 with eight minutes to play. Consecutive goals from Solomon, Bundy and Dordevic within three minutes of each other put the Hoyas up 14-12, but Marquette scored two goals in the final 62 seconds of regulation to force overtime at 14-14.
- Reilly won the faceoff to open the extra frame and the Hoyas went on the offensive immediately without calling a timeout. Dordevic put his defender out of position with a spin move to reverse direction and fired past the MU goalie for the win.
Marquette Notes
- Devon Cowan led the Golden Eagles with four goals and an assist while Jake Stegman added two goals and four assists.
- Luke Williams won 13 of 25 (.520) faceoffs and had seven ground balls.
- Defensively, Logan Kreinz was credited with two caused turnovers and four ground balls.
- In goal, Lucas Lawas had 15 saves in the loss.

- Georgetown's overtime win is the first since an 11-10 win over sixth-ranked Denver in 2021.
- The Hoyas played indoors for the first time since 2018, a 9-8 overtime loss to Marquette.
- Georgetown have now won seven-straight following an 0-3 start to the season.
- Reilly's 13 ground balls give him 499 for his career, once shy of becoming the ninth NCAA Division I player to reach 500.
- With 103 ground balls on the year, Reilly is now the first Hoya to collect at least 100 in three different seasons.
