Hoyas Roll Mount St. Mary's

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team defeated Mount St. Mary's 19-2 on Wednesday evening at the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy. With the win, the Hoyas improved to 22-16 while Mount St. Mary's moves to 18-17 on the season.

ON THE RECORD
"What a great team win tonight. Obviously, they beat us last time and they are a great team, so it was good to get a midweek win against a quality opponent. Today we came out and played really well and it started with Collin Garner giving us six innings in the middle of the week and he really pitched well. Kai Leckszas behind him was great as well getting his first save. Offensively, Ubaldo Lopez was fantastic with seven RBIs and Jake Hyde, Christian Ficca and Michael Eze were fantastic today. Guys off the bench like Jordan Kahn, Marco Castillo and Andrew Citron had a great offensive day and we played well defensively as a unit. Really proud of our group as it is easy to have a letdown in the middle of the week, but we found a way to get the job done. We look forward to heading to UConn for a three-game series this weekend." - Head Coach Edwin Thompson
