WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team fell to the No. 15 UConn Huskies 12-5 on Friday afternoon. With the loss, the Hoyas move to 22-17 and 5-5 in BIG EAST action while the Huskies improve to 28-10 and 5-2 in conference play.
ON THE RECORD
"That was a great game by their Pitcher Sears and he was dominant today. When that happens, we need to make sure we take advantage of what we can, and we didn't get guys on early enough. I loved our fight at the end and obviously I wish we would have done that earlier in the game to make things a little closer, but I loved our fight and the way we competed. Tip our cap to them and they kept us off balance and did a good job. We will be ready to go tomorrow for the double header and we look forward to the opportunity to compete again." - Head Coach
Edwin Thompson
