Denver, Colo. – The Georgetown women's lacrosse team (6-10, 1-4 BE) fell 15-2 to No. 3 Denver (16-0, 5-0 BE) at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
How It Happened
- Denver came out fast in the first quarter, scoring in the opening 20 seconds of the game. The Pioneers would continue to land two more goals over the next four minutes. Olivia Rubin found the back of the net for the Hoyas after maneuvering through the Denver defense at the 7:41 mark. The Pioneers went on another three-goal run to close out the first quarter with a 6-1 lead.
- The Pioneers' momentum continued as they went on a five-goal scoring run. At halftime, Denver led the Hoyas 11-1
- In the third quarter, the Hoyas held the Pioneers to two goals.
- Both teams were held scoreless in the first six and a half minutes of the fourth quarter. Tess Brooks landed a goal for the Hoyas at the 8:16 mark. Denver closed out the quarter with two goals to claim the 15-2 win.

The Hoyas will travel back to the District for the final contest of the season against Butler on Saturday. Georgetown will honor its eight seniors before the game in a senior day ceremony. The opening draw is scheduled for 1 p.m. on the BIG EAST Digital Network.
