ARLINGTON, Va.– The Georgetown University baseball team rolled George Washington on Wednesday afternoon 17-1. With the win, the Hoyas improve to 27-23 while George Washington slides to 18-31.

ON THE RECORD
"Really proud of our group and our organization today. Carson Frye set the tone for us but that first inning, scoring nine runs was a big help early on. Ubaldo Lopez and Owen Carapellotti hit big home runs for us. Our offense was really competitive today and we played pretty clean defensively, and then our pitchers were really good for us out of the bullpen. To win the battle of D.C. is always a good feeling beating your cross-town rivals. We are happy with today's result and are looking forward to this weekend off and our guys getting through finals as the school year wraps up. We look forward to heading up to Cincinnati next week to take on Cincinnati and Xavier." - Head Coach Edwin Thompson

Kretzschmar stepped up to the plate and hit a sac fly to center scoring Eze and moving Hyde to third. Hyde would come home in the ensuing at bat as D'Acunto ripped a single through the left side. GU would load the bases and a Bergeron walk would bring home D'Acunto for the Hoyas fifth tally of the inning.
