WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team rolled the Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks 13-3 on Wednesday evening. With the win, the Hoyas improve to 26-23 on the season while the Hawks slide to 16-30.
ON THE RECORD
"Really proud of our guys today. UMES came out and played us really well and scored a couple early. We were down 3-1 and we just battled back, and it started with the monster home run from
Michael Eze.
Owen Carapellotti and
Angelo D'Acunto put the ball in play for us today and got on base and that helped get the offense going.
Cody Bowker's four RBIs were fantastic to see.
Kai Leckszas gave us a good start and then
Collin Garner was able to come in and finish the deal for us and dominated the rest of the game. Really proud of this group and the way we came out and competed today. We are looking forward to tomorrow as we take on George Washington at 3 p.m." - Head Coach
Edwin Thompson
