No. 20/20 Hoyas Down Bucknell 1-0

WASHINGTON – The No. 20/20 Hoyas defeated the Bucknell Bison 1-0 on Thursday afternoon. GU found the back of the net in the 86th minute as Brianne Riley found the back of the net on a corner from Tatum Lenain

Head Coach Dave Nolan
"Today was one of those games where we felt like we were in control most of the time. I thought we played pretty well and were able to do what we wanted to do at times. We were getting the ball to the right side of the field a fair amount and then the final execution on those efforts let us down a few times. I told the girls at halftime to just keep doing the right things as many times as we can. It was kind of ironic that we ended up scoring off a set piece because we were far more dangerous in the run of play. Big goal from Brianne today, starting her Georgetown career off with a goal in the first home game was special for us and her. Bucknell is a very good team that is well coached and difficult to break down. We will take the win and will shift our focus to Sunday as it will be a good battle with Virginia Tech."
