WASHINGTON— Georgetown University's women's volleyball (3-0) bested American (2-1) in five sets (25-22, 16-25, 25-21, 20-25, 15-12) Sunday evening. This is the team's first 3-0 start since 2019. Georgetown ends their D.C. Challenge run as the only undefeated team in the tournament.
"A five-set victory goes a long way over the course of the season," said Head Coach A.J. Bonetti. "I think this is truly a team effort. We had a couple people come off the bench to help us in some pretty big spots, and I think it speaks to the work that they put in over the spring, over the summer, and here in preseason."
