Georgetown Finishes Second at The Doc Gimmler

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's golf team wrapped up play at the two-day Doc Gimmler Intercollegiate, finishing in second place with a 54-hole score of 824. Only the top four scores for each round were counted towards the team score in the event. The Hoyas carded rounds of 271, 279 and 274 at the par-70, 7,092-yard course at Bethpage Golf Course.
 
Hoya Results
  • Jacob Finard finished tied for 30th and carded rounds of 67, 74 and 71.
  • Carsten Judge turned in cards of 65, 70 and 75 finishing tied for 22nd.
  • Max Hutter was able to secure a tie for 11th with rounds of 74, 69 and 64.
  • Conner Willett finished tied for 22nd recording rounds of 70, 70 and 70.
  • Freshman Barnes Blake finished tied for 13th in his first collegiate event with rounds of 69, 70 and 69.
  • Senior Ryan Moylan competed as an individual and carded rounds of 71, 70 and 75 which earned Moylan a tied for 47th finish.
 
 
Tournament Leaders
  • Columbia won the event after carding rounds of 266, 266 and 279.
  • Georgetown finished second with Harvard in third and LIU in fourth.
 
UP NEXT
The Blue & Gray will be back in action on Saturday and Sunday September 23-24 at the MacDonald Cup hosted by Yale University. The event will take place at the Yale Golf Course in New Haven, Connecticut.
