Georgetown Announces 2023-24 Men’s Basketball BIG EAST Conference Schedule Presented by MedStar Health

WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's basketball team, in conjunction with the BIG EAST Conference, announced its conference portion of the 2023-24 schedule, presented by MedStar Health. The Blue & Gray adds the standard 20 league contests to its 11-game nonconference slate for a total of 31 regular season games.

  • The Hoyas open the 2023-24 BIG EAST season with a two-game Midwest road swing. Following its final nonconference game at Notre Dame on Saturday, Dec. 16, Georgetown will head to Indianapolis to face the Butler Bulldogs at Hinkle Fieldhouse on Tuesday, December 19 to open the conference slate. GU remains on the road with a trip to Milwaukee's Fiserv Forum to face the Marquette Golden Eagles on Friday, December 22.
  • The Blue & Gray will then play host for a three-game stretch at Capital One Arena, first welcoming Creighton on Tuesday, January 2, followed by Depaul (Saturday, January 6) and Seton Hall (Tuesday, January 9).
  • Another two-game road trip will see the Hoyas head north to face the defending national champions UConn Huskies on Sunday, January 14 before heading to Cincinnati to play the Xavier Musketeers on Friday, January 19.
  • The District's team will return home to welcome Butler to Capital One Arena on Tuesday, January 23 before heading back out on the road for the much-anticipated matchup between the Hoyas and Head Coach Ed Cooley's former squad, the Providence Friars, on Saturday, January 27 at Amica Mutual Pavilion.
  • The next three games will see the Hoyas sandwich a road trip to Seton Hall at Prudential Center (Wednesday, February 7) between home contests against Marquette on Saturday, February 3 and UConn on Saturday, February 10.
  • A midweek trip to Omaha's CHI Health Center to face Creighton on Tuesday, February 13 precedes back-to-back home games, first against the Villanova Wildcats in a rare Friday night event on February 16 before returning midweek on Wednesday, February 21 to host the St. John's Red Storm.
  • Georgetown hits the road again to visit DePaul at Wintrust Arena on Saturday, February 24 before heading to VU's Finneran Pavilion on Tuesday, February 27.
  • The Blue & Gray hosts its final pair of home games on Saturday, March 2 against Xavier and Tuesday, March 5 against Providence.
  • The regular season finale will take place at the World's Most Famous Arena, with a showdown between the Hoyas and the Red Storm at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, March 9.
