Hoyas Sweep Quakers to Open Delaware State Tournament

WASHINGTON — Georgetown University's women's volleyball team defeated University of Pennsylvania in three sets (27-25, 25-22, 25-19) to kick of the Delaware State Tournament. The win brings the Hoyas to 7-3 as they continue their final weekend of nonconference play. Penn falls to 1-7 on the season.

"I'm really proud of the fight our team showed in the face of adversity," said Head Coach AJ Bonetti. "Each set provided an opportunity to show the work everyone has been putting in."

"I think this game really showed that we can grind sets out when we're down." said junior libero Karis Park. "And I think we were really disciplined on the areas we were trying to improve during practice, and it really showed during our match today."
