WASHINGTON — Georgetown University's Karis Park was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week by the conference on Monday afternoon. Georgetown went 3-0 this past weekend, moving to 9-3 this season.

• Park anchored the Hoyas defense with 50 digs across three games, averaging 4.55 digs per set as the Hoyas went 3-0 at the Delaware State Tournament.
• In Georgetown's three set win over Penn, Park's defense kept the Hoyas ahead. Her 19 digs was a game high among all players.
• Park set a season high with 21 digs against Delaware State.

OF NOTE

• The DMV native has been a consistent force for the Hoyas this year, appearing in each of the team's 45 sets and ranking sixth in the BIG EAST in digs per set.
