WASHINGTON — Georgetown University's women's volleyball team fell to Iona 3-1 (25-13, 19-25, 19-25, 22-25) Saturday afternoon. The loss is the Hoyas' first of the season as they move to 4-1, while Iona moves to 2-5 and break a four-game losing streak.

Hoya Highlights:

• Mary Grace Goyena and Peyton Wilhite led the offense with 13 and 12 kills each, respectively.
• Freshman Grace Albaugh continued to pile up aces, tying her career-high with three against Iona.  She also totaled a career high 10 digs.
• Emily Wen paced all players with 36 assists.
• Georgetown set a season high with 78 digs in the match
• Lydia Schubert and Peyton Wilhite tallied three blocks each

Iona Notes:

• Jen Soto led the Gaels with 11 kills and 11.5 points. 
• Senior Hope Matschner recorded a game-high 22 digs
• The win breaks a four-game losing streak for Iona. They finish 1-2 in the VCU Invitational after falling to VCU 3-0 and Radford 3-2 on Friday.
