WASHINGTON – Georgetown University men's soccer defender
Kieran Sargeant signed a professional contract with the Houston Dynamo of Major League Soccer (MLS) as announced by the team on Monday. Sargeant was a part of the Dynamo's Academy and the club owned his rights. He signed a Homegrown Player contract through the 2025 season with club options for 2026 and 2027.

- Sargeant was a United Soccer Coaches Second Team All-America selection this season, the defender was named First Team All-East Region as well.
- He was a First Team All-BIG EAST honoree.
- Sargeant started all 19 games he appeared in on the backline.
- He had one goal and seven assists for nine points on the year.
- The junior was part of a defense that posted eight shutouts this year.
- He earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on 9/25.
- It was his second-career postseason honor after earning a spot on the third team a season ago.
- Sargeant was a Preseason All-BIG EAST honoree.
- The junior was on track to graduate in December of 2024, and the Dynamo will aid in his goal to obtain his degree from Georgetown.
- Sargeant is the 16th Dynamo Academy product to sign as a Homegrown Player with the first team and the fourth signed by general manager, Pat Onstad, since February 2022.

- The 2024 MLS SuperDraft saw the most players the Hoyas had drafted in one SuperDraft with six, and the Blue & Gray boasted the most players drafted in the SuperDraft with the next schools having just three selections.
