WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's basketball team will return to Washington, D.C. for a BIG EAST Conference matchup against the Xavier Musketeers on Saturday afternoon at McDonough Arena. Tipoff is slated for 2 p.m. on the BIG EAST Digital Network on FloSports presented by Invesco QQQ.

• Georgetown is sitting at 13-4 overall and 3-3 in BIG EAST Conference play.
• GU is coming off of a hard-fought win over Providence on Wednesday night.
• Modesti McConnell came off the bench in the fourth and knocked down three 3-pointers to give the Hoyas the lead at the 6:31 mark, setting up GU to take the73-71 win.
• Kelsey Ransom led the way for the Hoyas with 25 points as well as five assists and four steals on the night.
• Victoria Rivera tied her career high with 16 points and a team-best seven rebounds, while Graceann Bennett rounded out those in double figures posting 16 points and six rebounds in the contest.
• The Hoyas shot 48.3% (28-58) from the field, and Georgetown allowed 55.1% (27-49) shooting by the Friars.

• Ransom leads the team in almost all categories. She is 10th in the league in scoring (15.3 ppg), 16th in rebounding (5.7 rpg), fifth in assists (3.9 apg) and is third in the league with an impressive 2.6 steals per game.
• Bennett is second on the team with 9.9 ppg as well as a team-best 7.6 rpg which ranks fifth in the BIG EAST.
• Junior Brianna Scott rounds out the top three with 9.3 ppg, 6.9 rpg and 1.9 blocks per game, the block total puts her tied for second in the conference.
• The Hoyas are leading the league and ranked 11th in the nation in scoring defense averaging 53.0 ppg.

About the Musketeers

• Xavier is 1-14 overall and 0-6 in the league after a 79-49 loss at DePaul on Tuesday.
• Xavier has lost its last six contests, but have faced some of the top teams in the league including nationally-ranked Marquette (81-52).
• The Musketeers' sole win this season came on Dec. 15 against SIUE (68-43).
• Mackayla Scarlett leads the Musketeers in scoring with 11.6 ppg to go along with 3.1 rpg. Aizhanique Mayo is second posting 9.4 ppg and Nila Blackford rounds out the top three averaging 8.9 ppg.
