WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's golf team secured a strong third-place finish at the 40th Annual Georgetown Intercollegiate, completing the two-day, 54-hole tournament with a total score of 882. The Hoyas recorded rounds of 292, 290, and 300 at Echo Lake Country Club, a par-71, 7,100 yard course in Westfield, New Jersey.
CJ Winchenbaugh led the Hoyas with an impressive third-place individual finish, posting a 2-over par score across the 54 holes. This marks the freshman's first top-three finish of his collegiate career.
Hoya Results
- Winchenbaugh was the top performer for the Blue & Gray, finishing third on the leaderboard. The freshman delivered an impressive showing with rounds of 71, 70 and 74, finishing at 2-over par. His strong play included 11 birdies throughout the event.
- Carsten Judge held his own for the Hoyas in his first appearance in this lineup this week. Judge finished out the event placing 19th overall with cards of 78, 69 and 75 (+9) for a three-round score of 222.
- Senior captain Max Hutter turned in a steady performance this week, finishing tied for 22nd with a total score of 223 (+10). Hutter posted rounds of 76, 73, and 74 over the three rounds.
- Barnes Blake wrapped up the tournament tied for 27th overall. The sophomore recorded rounds of 69, 78 and 77, finishing with a three-round total of 224 (+11).
- Alan Rose finished the event with a score of 236 (+23). Rose handed in cards of 76, 83 and 77.

The Blue & Gray will end the fall 2024 season at the ODU/Kilmarlic Intercollegiate from Sunday, October 20 to Tuesday, October 22 at Kilmarlic Golf Club in Powells Point, North Carolina. This is scheduled to be a three-day event.
