WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University volleyball team returns to McDonough Arena this week for two home matches. On Friday, October 25, the Hoyas will face No. 6 Creighton at 7 p.m. for Halloween Spirit Night, where fans are encouraged to come in costume. The weekend wraps up on Sunday, October 27, at 2 p.m. when Georgetown takes on RV Marquette for the annual Dig Pink match.

About the Hoyas
- Georgetown enters the second year under Head Coach AJ Bonetti. The Hoyas currently come in at No. 10 in the 2024 BIG EAST standings.
- Freshman Dionna Mitchell has emerged as an offensive leader, recording an impressive 236 kills on the season with an average of 3.37 kills per set. Mitchell is a two-time BIG EAST Freshman of the Week.
- Kamryn Lee-Caracci has contributed 169 kills this season, which ranks second on the team, with an average of 2.49 kills per set.
- Senior Mary Grace Goyena returns for her final season after leading the team in kills last year with 361, the highest by a Hoya since 2019. Goyena has recorded 121 kills this season and she has averaged 2.69 kills per set.
- Senior Karis Park returns as the Hoya libero for the 2024 season, after leading the team with 4.06 digs per set last year and earning a BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week award during her junior year. Park leads the team in digs with 267 averaging 3.76 per set.
- Sophomore setter Emily Wen currently leads the Hoyas in assists with 479 credited to her and 7.04 assists/set. Wen played in all 115 sets during her freshman season last year, recording a total of 1,101 assists. Wen averaged 9.57 assists per set, ranking fourth in the BIG EAST this past season, the highest among BIG EAST freshmen, and 11th nationally among freshmen.
- On defense, Vaughan Anoa'i leads the team with 70 blocks, followed by Kamryn Lee-Caracci with 62. Anoa'i has been averaging 1.13 blocks per set. Lee-Caracci led the team last season with 0.94 blocks per set, ranking second among BIG EAST freshmen.
- Two returning Hoyas, Wen and Lee-Caracci, were recognized with BIG EAST All-Freshman honors last season.
- Georgetown welcomed five newcomers to the team this season: Taylor Mercado, Mitchell, Natalie Nguyen, Berkeley Ploder, and Juleigh Urbina.
- Georgetown was ranked No. 10 in the BIG EAST preseason coaches poll, receiving 27 votes.
Scouting No. 6 Creighton
- Friday's match is set to begin at 7 p.m.
- In the most recent meeting on December 28, 2023, Georgetown fell 3-0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-14).
- No. 6 Creighton currently stands at 17-1 this season and 8-0 in conference.
- The Bluejays concluded the 2023 season with an overall record of 29-5, including a 13-0 mark in conference play. The team would go on to fall to Louisville in NCAA Women's Volleyball Regional Semifinals.

- Marquette is currently 12-6 this season and 7-1 in BIG EAST play.
- The Golden Eagles wrapped up the 2023 season with an overall record of 21-11, including a 16-2 performance in conference play. The team's season ended in the second round of the NCAA Women's Volleyball Championships where they fell to No. 12 Purdue.
