Georgetown and No. 21 Providence to Play on Friday

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's soccer team will welcome the No. 21 Providence College Friars to Shaw Field on Friday afternoon in a BIG EAST Conference matchup. Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on the BIG EAST Digital Network on FloSports with Georgetown alums Dan Helfrich and Tom Greaser on the call for their 20th season in the booth.

  • The No. 21 Friars (6-2-2, 1-0-1 BE) came away with a win and a draw last week, defeating Brown 2-1, and securing a last-second 2-2 draw against Creighton.
  • Bruno Rosa earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after finishing with five points last week. Rosa tallied an assist against Brown. He then scored back-to-back two goals, including a last-second equalizer, to secure a comeback draw for the Friars against Creighton.
  • With his two goals, Rosa moved past Pepe Lora to become the team's leading scorer with 11 points.
  • Goalkeeper Lukas Burns has appeared in all 10 games for the Friars. Burns currently boasts a 0.743 save percentage and a 0.90 goals-against average.
