WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University volleyball team's Dionna Mitchell has been named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week for the third time this season and Emily Wen was named to the honor roll, as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.

- Mitchell recorded 35 total kills this past weekend, maintaining a .194 hitting percentage. She also contributed 28 digs.
- The Orlando, Florida native played in all 7 sets for Georgetown, averaging 5.00 kills per set. Mitchell has amassed 127 total kills this season.
- In Friday's sweep of Providence, the freshman led the match with 16 kills, adding 11 digs, an assist, and an ace.
- In the matchup against UConn, Mitchell recorded 19 kills, 17 digs, and two assists.
- This marks Mitchell's third BIG EAST Freshman of the Week honor this season.
