WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team fell to the Maryland Terrapins 14-5 on Tuesday afternoon. With the loss, GU slides to 3-5 on the season while Maryland improves to 6-2.
ON THE RECORD
"Give Maryland all the credit, they are very well coached and took advantage of our free bases early in the first two innings and unfortunately, we couldn't get things going. I am really happy to have
Marshall Whitmer back after recovering from surgery and to get him back out there was a big day for him.
Jake Hyde had swung the bat well with his two home runs and
Christian Ficca also swung the bat well today. We didn't do enough against a really good team today and we gave them too many free bases which they took advantage of. We are looking forward to our next opportunity to compete which will be this weekend as we host our home opener." – Head Coach
Edwin Thompson
