WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's basketball team will host the DePaul University Blue Demons on Sunday afternoon in a BIG EAST Conference matchup at McDonough Arena at 2 p.m. The contest will be GU's annual Play4Kay game which is especially significant this season following the loss of Head Coach Tasha Tough to breast cancer in the fall. The game will be broadcast live on the BIG EAST Digital Network on FloSports presented by Invesco QQQ.

About the Hoyas
- Georgetown is sitting at 14-7 overall and 4-6 in BIG EAST Conference play.
- GU is coming off of a tough 71-54 loss at Seton Hall on Wednesday evening at Walsh Gymnasium.
- Graduate student Mya Bembry led the way for the Hoyas with 12 points against her former team as well as five rebounds.
- Classmate Alex Cowan was the other Hoya in double figures posting 10 points and a team-high eight assists in the contest.
- The Blue & Gray shot 40.8% (20-49) from the field, and Georgetown allowed 50.0% (24-48) shooting by the Pirates.
- GU outrebounded SHU 31-26, and Georgetown forced 11 Pirate turnovers on five steals.
- Senior Kelsey Ransom leads the team in almost all categories. She is 14th in the league in scoring (14.6 ppg), 17th in rebounding (5.4 rpg), fourth in assists (4.2 apg) and is sixth in the league with 2.2 steals per game.
- Graduate student Graceann Bennett is second on the team with 10.2 ppg as well as a team-best 7.1 rpg which ranks 10th in the BIG EAST.
- Junior Brianna Scott rounds out the top three with 9.4 ppg, 6.6 rpg (11th in the BIG EAST) and 1.7 blocks per game, the block total puts her third in the conference.
- The Hoyas are leading the league and ranked 18th in the nation in scoring defense averaging 55.0 ppg.
About the Blue Demons
- DePaul is 11-12 overall and 3-7 in the league after a 67-57 win at Butler on Wednesday evening.
- Four starters finished in double figures in the victory led by a 24-point performance from Anaya Peoples who also had five rebounds, four steals and three assists.
- Jorie Allen added 12 points while grabbing seven rebounds and three steals. Michelle Sidor and Maeve McErlane added 10 points apiece. Sidor posted a career-high seven rebounds in addition to two assists and two steals.
- Peoples leads the team in scoring averaging 18.0 ppg, while Allen and Kate Clarke sit behind her with 10.3 and 10.2 ppg, respectively.
- Peoples also leads the squad on the glass with 7.7 rpg.
Series Info
- The Hoyas are 5-28 all-time against the Blue Demons dating back to the 1986-87 season and GU is 2-12 at home.
- Earlier this season, the Hoyas downed DePaul in Chicago 66-62 on New Year's Eve.
- Ransom led the way for the Hoyas with 23 points, including a 4-5 performance from beyond the arc, to go along with eight assists and seven rebounds as well as five steals.
- Sophomore Victoria Rivera had 10 points to round out those in double figures.
- Bennett led GU on the glass with 10 rebounds and seven points, and Bembry was also solid with eight points and as many rebounds to her credit.
- The last meeting at McDonough Arena was an 87-73 victory a season ago.
- A big fourth quarter allowed GU to secure the win as Kennedy Fauntleroy led the way with 25 points.
- Bennett tied her career high with 18 points as well as a squad-best nine rebounds in the game.
Rounding out those in double figures was Ransom with 15 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals.
