WASHINGTON – Following a pair of rounds at the Briar's Creek Invitational, the Georgetown University women's golf team is currently in 12th place at 19-over 595 (293-302) in the 17-team field. The 54-hole tournament is being played on the par-72, 6,152-yard course at the Golf Club at Briar's Creek in Johns Island, South Carolina.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Georgia Ruffolo is currently Georgetown's top competitor as she is tied for 27th place at 3-over 147 (75-72). Her even 72 in the second round was fueled by a quartet of birdies, including bookends on the 15th and 14th holes in a shotgun start. For the day, she tallied six birdies and 21 pars.
- Morgan Smith carded a 3-over 147 over two rounds to also sit in a tie for 27th. She managed 15 pars in the first round and tallied one birdie. For the pair of rounds, she managed three birdies and 28 birdies.
- Megan Gormley is tied for 35th place at 4-over 148 (73-75) following two rounds of action. The senior rallied a trio of birdies in the first round to go along with 11 pars, totaling four birdies and 24 pars on the day.
- Claire Chen carded a 9-over 153 (72-81) following a pair of rounds of action. Her first round was an even 72 and the best round for a Hoya in the first two rounds, bolstered by a trio of birdies, all in a span of four holes. She managed 23 pars on the day.
- Juliette Riot is sitting at 23-over 167 (85-82). She tallied a trio of birdies as well as 13 pars over two rounds.
