WASHINGTON - Georgetown women's tennis was defeated 6-1 by DePaul on Friday, March 22 in Chicago, Illinois before defeating Marquette 4-3 on Saturday, March 23 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Hoyas are now 6-11 on the season and 2-2 in BIG EAST play.
Against DePaul, Paige Gilbert earned the lone singles win for the Hoyas.
In doubles against Marquette, Georgetown's duo of Chloe Bendetti and Katie Garofolo-Ro earned a 6-2 victory, but the Golden Eagles would take the doubles point.
In singles, the Hoyas would win four out of the six matches with Bendetti, Avantika Willy, Garofolo-Ro and Morgan Coburn all earning wins.
Bendetti has now won four out of her last five singles matches in the number one position.Â
