WASHINGTON – Following two rounds of play, the Georgetown women's golf team is currently in first place with a team score of 16-over 584 (300-284) at the Lady Bison Invitational, hosted by Howard University. The two-day tournament is being held in Gainesville, Florida on the par-71, 5,990-yard course at Hawkstone Country Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Playing a shotgun start, Georgia Ruffolo was the top Hoya finisher as she is currently in a tie for second place at even par 142 (74-68). Ruffolo started in the sixth hole and in the first round tallied a pair of birdies. She got going in the second round, managing four birdies and bookending the round with them as she rallied birdies on holes six and five. She also recorded 13 pars in the round and totaled 24 on the day.
- Morgan Smith is currently in third place as she has a two round score of 1-over 143 (73-70). She totaled six birdies on the day with four coming in the second round. The freshman added 23 pars to her day.
- Megan Gormley is currently in a three-way tie for fifth at 7-over 149 (74-75). The captain tacked on a pair of birdies on the day, one in each round, to go along with 25 pars.
- Claire Chen is tied with one other in eighth place at 8-over 150 (79-71). The freshman had a rough start in round one but settled down after a birdie on 18, her 14th hole of the day. In the second round, she rallied a trio of birdies.
- Juliette Riot sits in a tie for 37th at 19-over 161 (81-80). In her first tournament with the Blue & Gray, the Hoya newcomer tallied 20 pars on the day.
