Georgetown Falls to UConn 5-4

TYSONS, Va. – The Georgetown University baseball team fell to the UConn Huskies 5-4 on Saturday evening. With the loss the Hoyas slide to 26-12 and 8-3 in BIG EAST play while UConn improves to 19-18 and 6-2 in conference action.

ON THE RECORD
"Tough one tonight, I thought Garrett Coe did an outstanding job, he has pitched three times in the last seven days, give him a lot of credit, he was great. They did enough today but we gave them a lot. Five errors, you are not going to win a game against a team like that or anybody with five errors. Andrew Williams gave us an unbelievable start once again; we just didn't support him with runs. Marshall Whitmer and Jordan Yoder came in during some big spots and got some big outs for us. We fell a little short and we need to be able to execute better when it matters the most and we have to play better defense. All we can do is control tomorrow but I thought today we had an amazing crowd and I want to thank all the fans that came out. It was a great atmosphere, and we need all our fans back tomorrow." Head Coach Edwin Thompson
