WASHINGTON - Georgetown women's tennis was defeated 4-3 by George Washington on Friday, April 5 in Washington D.C. before defeating UConn 4-3 on Saturday, April 6 in College Park, Maryland. The Hoyas are now 7-12 on the season and 3-2 in BIG EAST play.

Against GW, in doubles play, Georgetown's duo of Paige Gilbert and Emily Novikov defeated their opponents 6-4 for the duo's sixth win of the year. However, the Revolutionaries would take the doubles point.

In singles, Gilbert, Ashley Kennedy and Olivia Ashton all recorded wins. However, the Hoyas could not record a fourth win, giving GW the match. 

Against UConn, the Huskies would start off the match by taking the doubles point.

In singles, needing four out of six matches to win, Georgetown recorded wins from Chloe Bendetti, Novikov and Kennedy. Down to the last match, Katie Garofolo-Ro defeated her opponent in three sets, giving Georgetown its third conference win of the year.
