MASON, Ohio – The Georgetown University baseball team fell 11-9 to No. 2 seeded St. John's on Wednesday afternoon. GU will now face the loser of game one between No. 1 UConn and No. 4 Xavier at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at Prasco Park.
ON THE RECORD
"What a great game to start the tournament, unfortunately, we came up a little bit short. I thought our guy's fight was really good today, being down and coming back a few times. We just didn't hit last today unfortunately. I thought
Cody Bowker gave us a great start and I think today was about
Kavi Caster. He really kept us in the game and gave us some huge home runs and seven RBIs and helped give us a great chance. It is just unfortunate that the ball didn't bounce our way. We had a lot of guys on base but didn't get many in. We will have a short memory and come back out tomorrow and extend our season." - Head Coach
Edwin Thompson
