ON THE RECORD
"What a great night and what a great baseball game. Two really good teams competed tonight as this conference is really good overall. Tribute to UConn, they had a great season. I am just really proud of our guys and the way they competed today. We came out and were able to get a lead, but they came back, and it was a really back and forth game. I think the biggest thing we wanted to see was our group fight and they did. This team fights more than I have seen in a long time and there is no quit in us. I am really happy for our guys,
Jake Hyde had two huge home runs,
Joe Hollerbach had a big home run,
Andrew Bergeron had another homer and
Marco Castillo had a great night. He had a big hit to tie it up and
Kavi Caster stolen base there late proved to be vital. I am so proud of our guys;
Andrew Williams gave us a great chance in the back part of the game and
Andrew Citron was just electric. I am really proud of our group, and we look forward to coming back out here tomorrow." - Head Coach
Edwin Thompson
