ON THE RECORD
"What a ballgame. We seem to have one of the best mid major conferences in the country and I really believe that. Our teams in this league are so good, UConn and Xavier, tip your caps to them and I hope they get an at large bid. We are still playing, going to the championship game for the first time ever in Georgetown University baseball history. That says a lot about our kids and a lot about our fight. It was an unbelievably emotional game, but I thought Marcello Mastroianni gave us a great start tonight. Kai Leckszas was the real deal; he was outstanding two years in a row for us here. We are really proud of him and then Nick Davis came in and closed it down like he has all year for us in a tough situation against a really good team. Jake Hyde gave us a chance with his big RBI in the middle part of that game. They took the lead, but we came back, and Josh Rolling had back-to-back huge hits with his double and bases clearing triple. I can't say enough about our team and our fight and what we are doing and how we are doing it. I am just so proud of the organization and everyone that is involved. To be playing on Saturday on national television will be a lot of fun for Hoya Nation." - Head Coach Edwin Thompson
