WASHINGTON – Georgetown University swept the 2023-24 BIG EAST Scholar-Athletes of the Year awards as
Julia Leas of women's soccer and
Parker Stokes of track & field earned the honors for the academic year which were announced on Tuesday by the league.
The awards are the top scholar-athlete honors given by the conference. Both Leas and Stokes will receive a $2,000 scholarship, which may be applied to graduate or professional studies. The selections were made by the Conference's Academic Affairs Committee.
This marks just the fourth honor for the Hoyas on both the men's and women's sides since its inception in 1985, including a sweep in 2021-22 by cross country/track & field's
