WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's women's volleyball team (0-1) fell to the American Eagles (1-0) in the first match of the D.C. Challenge in three sets (25-21, 25-23, 25-17).

- In her collegiate debut, freshman Dionna Mitchell made a strong impact with 14 kills and a .344 hitting percentage.
- Karis Park led the team in digs, recording 12.
- Kamryn Lee-Caracci had the most blocks with six to her credit on the day.
