WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's golf team finished third at the two-day, three-round, Howard/USF Intercollegiate with a 54-hole score of 851. Only the top four scores for each round were counted towards the team score in the event. The Hoyas carded rounds of 284, 289 and 278 at the par-70, 6,886-yard course at Manor Country Club.
Barnes Blake held the top spot in the Hoya lineup and finished the event at 2-under par which earned him a top-5 finish.
Hoya Results
- Blake was fantastic for the Blue & Gray sinking 11 birdies across his three rounds finishing in 5th overall. The sophomore turned in cards of 66, 74 and 68 for a three-round score of 208 (-2).
- Max Hutter placed 27th on the leaderboard with cards of 77, 70 and 71 for a score of 218. The senior captain tallied eight birdies across his three rounds.
- Alan Rose and CJ Winchenbaugh both wrapped up their first collegiate tournament in 28th and 29th, respectively. Rose finished 8-over par (218) with cards of 75, 74 and 69 while Winchenbaugh shot 9-over par (219) with scores of 71, 76 and 72.
- Conner Willett rounded out the Hoyas at 9-over (219). The senior carded rounds of 70, 71 and 78.

The Hoyas will be back in action on September 21-22, in the U.S. Naval Academy Invitational. The event will take place at the Naval Academy Golf Course in Annapolis, Maryland. A link to live scoring will be available on GUHoyas.com.
