WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's soccer team will welcome the University of Akron Zips to Shaw Field on Saturday in the second BIG EAST matchup this year for the Hoyas. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on the BIG EAST Digital Network on FloSports with Georgetown alums Dan Helfrich and Tom Greaser on the call for their 20th season in the booth.

• Georgetown (4-2-3) is coming off of a 2-0 victory over Princeton in a nonconference matchup on Tuesday.
• Sophomore Matthew Van Horn found the back of the net for the second-consecutive match to put the Blue & Gray up 1-0 in the first minute.
• In the last minute, sophomore Jack Heaps went 1v1 with a Princeton defender and tallied his first-career goal to make the final 2-0.
• On Monday, junior goalkeeper Tenzing Manske was named the BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week following the shutout and seven impressive saves.
• Additionally, Van Horn was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll following his game winner and first goal of the season against Creighton the previous week.
• Freshman Mitchell Baker is leading the Hoya offense with four goals and one assist for nine points on the season.
• Van Horn is second tallying two goals and one assist for five points on the year.
• Junior Zach Zengue is third tallying two goals for four points for the year.

About the Zips

• Five players scored in Akron's (3-3-3) last match against Saint Francis on Tuesday.
• A hat trick from Emil Jaaskelainen and a brace from Nathan Ferguson led the Zips to an 8-0 win over the Red Flash.
• Jaaskelainen is the leading scorer in the BIG EAST with eight goals on the season. He also ranks second in the league for assists, tallying five so far this year.
• Wan Kuzri Wan Kamal is second for the Zips, recording three goals and two assists for eight points on the season. 
• Goalkeeper Mitch Budler has recorded 20 saves through nine games.
