Hoyas Compete at Potomac Relays

WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's and women's swimming & diving teams opened the 2024-25 season at the Potomac Relays at American University on Friday evening.

MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

In the 200 medley relay, Ryan Mathis, Nick Pezzella, Troy Keen and Owen Watkins finished first with a time of 1:33.56.
Michael Mostofi, Conor Jellig, Jack Januario and Ronan Krauss took second in the 800 free relay.
With a time of 2:39.71, Will Daniel, Mathis and Krauss captured first in the 100 back relay.
In the 100 breaststroke relay, Ansen Meyer, Ben Tunila and Jack Brearton placed first with a time of 2:57.20.
Januario, Krauss, Daniel and Tunila captured first in the 100 IM with a time of 3:36.73.
In the 1m dive, the Hoyas swept the podium. Hriday Parekh finished first (302.85), Nico Santiago came in second (291.55) and Charlie Reichle placed third (277.2).
In the 3m dive, Thomas Carpinelli captured first (289.55) while Brendan Hodgen took third (276.6).

WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

Allie Sanchez, Emily Gao, Natalie Aiken and Taplin Seelbach captured first in the 200 medley with a time of 1:47.28.
In the 800 free relay, Kaitlin Lee, Ashley Vensel, Payton Smith and Sammy Hagberg took first with a time of 7:52.59.
In the 500 free relay, Lee and Smith placed first with a time of 10:30.0.
In the 1m dive, Audrey Dietz finished first with a score of 241.2 followed by Wynter Bramao in second with a score of 223.6.
Bramao took first in the 3m dive with a score of 230.2 while Cecilia Hanuch placed third with a score of 227.55.
