No. 14/18 Georgetown Travels to Seton Hall on Friday

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's soccer team will travel to Seton Hall University for a BIG EAST matchup on Friday evening at Owen T. Carroll Field in South Orange, New Jersey. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m., and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

About the Hoyas
  • Georgetown (6-2-2, 2-0-0 BIG EAST) is coming off its fifth-consecutive win after downing the St. John's University Red Storm on Saturday evening at Shaw Field.
  • Georgetown outshot SJU 10-7, and the Hoyas had seven on goal to the Red Storm's two.   
  • The Hoyas were awarded three corners to St. John's seven in the contest.
  • Senior Tenzing Manske was credited with a share of the shutout and the win along with sophomore Charlie DeMarco.
  • Senior Zach Zengue continued his impressive scoring streak with a goal in the contest, while juniors Jack Heaps and Matthew Helfrich added assists.
  • Zengue's goal made this his fourth-consecutive game with a score. On Monday, he was recognized as the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week for the second-consecutive week after tallying three goals and one assist for the week.
  • Georgetown has scored first in its last eight games.
  • Zengue is leading the squad in scoring with nine goals and four assists for 22 points on the season. He is tied for third in the nation in total goals, and is fourth in the country in total points.
  • Sophomore Mitchell Baker is second in goals with four on the season, while junior Matthew Van Horn leads the squad in assists with six.
  • Van Horn's six assists have him fourth in the nation in helpers.
  • Manske has played 855 minutes in the goal and has a 0.80 goals-against average as well as five shutouts and 21 saves.
About Seton Hall
  • Seton Hall (4-2-3, 2-0-0 BIG EAST) is coming off of a 2-0 victory at Marquette.
  • SHU was up 1-0 at the half on a goal by Aidan Tisony which marked his third-consecutive contest with a goal.
  • Hugo Gerbore added another goal in the second half to make it a 2-0 result.
  • The Hall's 2-0-0 start is the first for the program in BIG EAST play since 2006.
  • Til Kauschke leads the squad with four goals and two assists for 10 points on the season, while Agustin Resch is second posting two goals and as many assists on the year.
