WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University volleyball team's Samantha Soderlund has been named the BIG EAST Rookie of the Week for the first time this season and Kamryn Lee-Caracci was named to the honor roll, as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. The weekly awards follow a 2-0 homestand weekend for the Hoyas with a five-set win over Marquette, the first win over the Golden Eagles since 2010, and a 3-0 sweep of DePaul.

- Soderlund recorded 26 total kills this past weekend, maintaining a .257 hitting percentage. She also contributed 12 digs and three block assists.
- The Naples, Florida native played in all eight sets for Georgetown, averaging 3.25 kills per set. Soderlund has amassed 228 total kills this season.
- In Friday's win over Marquette, the freshman led the match with 18 kills, adding six digs, an assist and two block assists.
- In the matchup against DePaul, Soderlund recorded eight kills, six digs and two service aces.
- The freshman ranks seventh in the conference in kills per set in conference matchups with 128 total kills and 3.37 k/s.
- This marks Soderlund's first BIG EAST Rookie of the Week honor this season.
Kamryn Lee-Caracci | Jr. | MB | La Grange, Ill.
- Lee-Caracci registered 17 kills over the weekend and averaged a .378 hitting percentage.
- The La Grange, Illinois native also tallied 11 blocks with a weekend high of eight against Marguette. Lee-Caracci has 67 total blocks on the season, averaging 0.81 blocks per set.
- The junior additionally contributed three service aces in the match against Marquette.
- Lee-Caracci ranks third in the BIG EAST in hitting percentage in conference matchups with a .373 on the year.
