Men’s Golf Places Second at ODU/OBX Intercollegiate, Erick Takes Second

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's golf team concluded its fall 2025 campaign with a strong showing at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate, earning a runner-up finish in a competitive 16-team field at Kilmarlic Golf Club in Powells Point, North Carolina. The Hoyas posted rounds of 287, 289 and 283 (+7) on the par-71, 6,554-yard course for a 54-hole total of 859. Leading the Blue & Gray, freshman Carson Erick secured his first collegiate podium appearance, finishing second overall at 3-under par.

Head Coach Tommy Hunter

"The ODU/OBX tournament is a great event to end our fall season. Kilmarlic is a challenging golf course and it played firmer than in years past. On top of that, gusty winds were constant from the echo of the hurricane in Jamaica. Scoring was not easy. Really proud of the guys as they showed a lot of grit on the final nine holes to grab a second-place finish. Our team's scoring was very bundled. Extremely proud of Carson's runner-up finish - he was our cornerstone."
