WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University volleyball team fell to the Butler Bulldogs, 3-1 (31-33, 25-21, 25-18, 25-16), on Friday night in Indianapolis, Indiana. With the loss, GU slides to 13-11 and 6-5 in BIG EAST play on the season while the Bulldogs improve to 12-12 and 5-6 in league play.
Hoya Highlights
- Berkeley Ploder led a trio of Hoyas in double figure kills with a team-high 12, followed by Kamryn Lee-Caracci with 11 and Samantha Soderlund with 10.
- Four Hoyas contributed from the service line, as Lee-Caracci, Soderlund, Dionna Mitchall and Taylor Mercado each an ace.
- Defensively, Ploder anchored the front line with five blocks, while Lee-Caracci tallied four.
- Urbina directed the offense with 29 assists.
- Soderlund steadied the back row, collecting a team-best 14 digs.
