WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's basketball team returns to McDonough Arena, its on-campus home, for the first of two games at the intimate setting. The Hoyas host the visiting Saint Peter's University Peacocks on Saturday, December 13 as part of a doubleheader with the women's basketball team. Tipoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at McDonough Arena following the women's basketball tilt against Delaware State, scheduled for a noon tipoff.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- The 2025-26 season marks the third year under Head Coach Ed Cooley. In his second season, Cooley guided Georgetown to doubling its wins from the season before and finishing with an overall record of 18-16 and 8-12 in BIG EAST play. The squad earned a bid to the inaugural College Basketball Crown, advancing to the quarterfinals before falling to eventual Crown Champions Nebraska.
- In the last outing, Georgetown fell to the then-No. 16/17 University of North Carolina Tar Heels on Sunday evening, 81-61, in Chapel Hill. KJ Lewis led a trio of Hoyas in double figures with 17 points on 46.7% (7-15) shooting from the field while adding a squad-best seven rebounds to go along with a trio of steals. Julius Halaifonua chipped in 14 points and four rebounds, while Langston Love came off the bench to round out those in double figures with 10 points on 80.0% (4-5) shooting. Malik Mack paced the offense with four assists while Halaifonua and Lewis each added a block apiece.
- A quartet of Hoyas are scoring in double figures led by Lewis who is tallying 16.7 ppg, while Mack averages 15.7 ppg, Vince Iwuchukwu notches 11.8 ppg and Caleb Williams manages 11.6 ppg. Lewis' 16.7 ppg ranks fifth in the BIG EAST Conference.
- Lewis leads the Hoyas on the glass with 6.1 rpg, followed by C. Williams with 5.7 rpg and Julius Halaifonua with 4.8 rpg.
- Mack paces the offense with 4.6 apg, which ranks fourth in the league, followed by Lewis with 2.9 apg and Jeremiah Williams with 2.6 apg.
- Lewis leads the BIG EAST and the Hoyas in strips with 2.6 spg while Kayvaun Mulready tallies 1.5 spg. Georgetown is fourth in the conference with 8.00 spg.
- Before the start of the 2025-26 season, Lewis was named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Second Team and Mack was named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Third Team. The Hoyas were also selected sixth in the BIG EAST Preseason Coaches' Poll.

- Saint Peter's enters the matchup with a 4-4 start to the 2025-26 season, including a 2-0 record in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) action.
