Lardner Garners Second Team All-America, Martin Earns Spot on Third Team

WASHINGTON – Graduate student Maja Lardner and senior Cara Martin both earned a spot on the United Soccer Coaches' Division I Women's All-America teams on Friday. Lardner, who was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year earned a spot on the second team and Martin who was named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year earned a spot on the third team.

Maja Lardner — Graduate Student | Forward | Dallas, Texas

  • Started all 23 games for the Hoyas this season.
  • Led GU with 14 goals and had 4 assists.
  • BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year.
  • All-BIG EAST First Team, All-East Region First Team, and CSC Academic All-District
     

Cara Martin — Senior | Goalkeeper | Alexandria, Virginia

  • All-America Third Team
  • Started all 23 games this season.
  • Tallied eight shutouts with 59 saves on the season.
