Hoyas Capture First Win of 2025 Campaign

ON THE RECORD
"I am really proud of our group after a tough two games yesterday. To respond and win a tough road game against the defending champs of the Big South was fantastic. I am really proud of our defense; it was a big point of emphasis for us coming into today and we did. We pitched like we needed to and got some big hits today when we needed them. Tristan Head had a big two-run home run for us, and our pitching staff was outstanding. Andrew Williams gave us a good start and Nadell Booker was great for us. Marshall Whitmer, Axel Johnson and Jack Volo were huge for us today and then Andrew Citron came in and did what he usually does for us which was great. It was a great team win and it was great to see Jackson Thomas get his first collegiate hit. I am really proud of our group and the way we compete over the course of the series. We learned a lot about our team this weekend and we look forward to coming home for a midweek with George Mason before hosting Sacred Heart in our home opening series next weekend." -Head Coach Edwin Thompson
