WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team fell to the Sacred Heart Pioneers 21-4 on Saturday afternoon in game two of the series. With the setback, GU slides to 3-3 on the season while SHU improves to 1-4.
ON THE RECORD
"Tough day but credit to Sacred Heart. Their guys were outstanding and their pitcher was excellent today. They had a great adjustment on day two and that is what a championship team looks like. They won a lot in their league last year and they came out and put it on us. We have to play better but we have a chance to win a series tomorrow and that is all we can focus on. I was really happy to see some guys get into the game for their first collegiate appearance as well. It wasn't our day but we will come out tomorrow, reset ourselves and be ready to go." - Head Coach
Edwin Thompson
