Hoyas Fall 6-3 to Sacred Heart

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team dropped game three of the series with Sacred Heart 6-3 on Sunday afternoon. With the setback, GU slides to 3-4 on the season while SHU improves to 2-4.

ON THE RECORD
"I thought Sacred Heart did a great job and their first pitcher was great. The next kid they had come out of the bullpen, that was ambidextrous, was really tough and played well. I am proud of our guys and how they responded after a tough day yesterday. I really liked how we fought, and we had the lead there in the seventh, but just couldn't hold it when we needed to. We didn't get enough hits when we needed to, but it was still good to see Owen Carapellotti get that big home run and Jeremy Sheffield had another good day. We will learn, grow and continue to get better, and we are looking forward to getting back at it on Tuesday at George Washington." - Head Coach Edwin Thompson
