WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's basketball team will head to Omaha, Nebraska on Sunday, February 23 to face the Creighton Bluejays. Tipoff is slated for 4 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on Peacock with Noah Reed calling the play-by-play and Nick Bahe providing analysis. Georgetown enters Wednesday's contest with a 16-10 record and a 7-8 mark in league action following a 93-72 win over Providence on Wednesday at Capital One Arena.

- On Wednesday night, Georgetown put up a season high in a conference matchup to defeat the Providence College Friars 93-72 at Capital One Arena. Micah Peavy led a quartet of Hoyas in double figures with a career-best 30 points on 11 made field goals. The graduate student also added seven boards, and game bests in assists (7) and steals (6). Jayden Epps (18), Drew Fielder (17) and Jordan Burks (13) rounded out those in double figures for the Hoyas. The Blue & Gray shot 50.8% (30-59) from the floor, 43.5% (10-23) from three and 82.1% (23-28) from the charity stripe.
- Peavy leads a quartet of Hoyas averaging double figures posting 16.0 ppg, a mark that is tied for seventh in the BIG EAST. Thomas Sorber chips in 14.5 ppg, followed by Malik Mack (12.6 ppg) and Epps (12.2 ppg). Georgetown and Marquette are the only institutions with four players among the top 30 in scoring in the league.
- Sorber leads the squad on the glass pulling down 8.5 rpg, which is tied for first in the league, followed by Peavy (5.5 rpg) and Fielder (5.3 rpg).
- Mack paces the offense dishing out 4.6 apg, a mark that ranks seventh in the BE.

- Defensively, the team is second in the league in scoring defense, allowing an average of 66.4 ppg. GU ranks third in the BIG EAST and 38th in the nation in field goal percentage defense (40.8%). The Hoyas are third in the league in steals per game (8.4) and are forcing opponents to commit 14.19 turnovers per game, which ranks third in the conference.

- In its most recent outing, Creighton (18-8, 11-4 BE) fell to the St. John's Red Storm 79-73 on Sunday, February 16 in New York. Steven Ashworth led the Bluejay offense with 23 points on 7-for-17 shooting from the field. Jamiya Neal (19), Ryan Kalkbrenner (12) and Jasen Green (10) rounded out the Bluejays in double figures. Ashworth paced the offense with 11 assists en route to a double-double. Kalkbrenner led the squad on the glass pulling down a team-best nine boards. Creighton shot 41.5% (27-65) from the field.

ABOUT THE SERIES WITH CREIGHTON
- Sunday's matchup will be the second meeting this season and the 27th all-time meeting between the two sides dating back to the 1970-71 season. Creighton leads the all-time series 16-10.
