Men’s Golf Wraps up at Donald Ross Collegiate

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's golf team placed tied for 13th at the Donald Ross Collegiate in Southern Pines, North Carolina. GU posted rounds of 298, 303, and 292 at the Mid Pines Golf Club, a par-72, 6657-yard course. The Hoyas rounded out the three-day, 54-hole tournament with a team score of 893. 

Barnes Blake held the top spot on the individual leaderboard for the Hoyas tied for 15th, posting an even-par score across the 54 holes. The sophomore fired off 13 birdies on the weekend and recorded a 5-under par third round to move up 18 spots on the leaderboard.

Hoya Results

  • Blake was the top performer for the Blue & Gray, finishing tied for 15th overall. The sophomore shot rounds of 75, 74 and 67, finishing even par (216).
  • CJ Winchenbaugh tied for 43rd place. Winchenbaugh delivered a 8-birdie performance on his way to a 6-over par finish. The freshman turned in cards of 68, 76, and 78 (222).
  • Max Hutter finished in 58th with a total score of 226 (+10). The senior wrapped up the event with scores of 77, 77, and 72 in the event.
  • Jacob Finard placed 77th for the Blue & Gray turning in cards of 78, 78 and 76, finishing with a three-round total of 232 (+16).
  • Carsten Judge finished his week with rounds of 85, 76 and 77 (238).

Up Next

The Blue & Gray will travel to Williamsburg, Virginia for the Golden Horseshoe Invitational hosted by William & Mary from March 24-25.
