Hoyas Drop Final Two Games to Monmouth

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team dropped both contests of Saturday's double header against Monmouth, falling in game one 17-9 and losing game two 11-8. With the pair of losses GU moves to 7-13 on the year while Monmouth moves to 9-10 on the season.

ON THE RECORD
"Great job by Monmouth in game one, I thought that they didn't quit, and they did a good job of scoring late. I am happy for Ashton Seymore as he had a really good day getting two hits in his first career start. Ashtin Gilio, Tristan Head, and Blake Schaaf also played well, getting multiple hits each.

In game two, I liked how we competed, and it was good to have Jake Anderson back. Andrew Citron was also good out of the bullpen. I thought that it was great to see. I thought Ashton Gilio and then Connor Price both had a fantastic game. Price was amazing behind the plate, throwing two runners out, that big home run and three hits was great to see. We will regroup and get ready for a tough game against Maryland on Tuesday." - Head Coach Edwin Thompson
