GU Women’s Golf in Sixth Following Two Rounds at City of Oaks Collegiate

WASHINGTON – Following 36 holes of action, the Georgetown University women's golf team is currently sitting in sixth place in the 17-team field at the City of Oaks Collegiate, hosted by NC State University. The Hoyas are currently at 38-over 614 (316-298) on the par-72, 6,143-yard course at the Lonnie Poole Golf Club in Raleigh, North Carolina.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Georgia Ruffolo is the top Hoya on the leaderboard at 2-over 146 (76-70) to sit in a tie for fourth place following 36 holes. She tallied nine birdies (4/5) and 18 pars on the day (8/10). She managed a birdie on hole 7 in both the first and second rounds.
  • At 11-over 155 (80-75), Megan Gormley is tied for 25th after two rounds. For the day, she managed a trio of birdies (1/2) and 21 pars (9/12).
  • In a tie for 42nd place, Gabriella Eifrig has carded a 14-over 158 (80-78) over a pair of rounds. On the day, she recorded a quartet of birdies, all in the second round, to go along with 16 pars (10/6).
  • A trio of Hoyas are tied for 49th at 15-over 159. Charlotte Hillary carded 80 and 79 in the first two rounds with a trio of birdies (2/1) and 17 pars (8/9) over 36 holes.
  • Competing as an individual, Tina Tang turned in cards of 80 and 79, matching Hillary. She recorded a pair of birdies, both in the second round, to go along with 21 pars (12/9), tied for most on the team for the day. Tang managed pars for the entirety of the front nine of the first round.
  • Catherine Qiu tallied rounds of 84 and 75 for the day, recording a trio of birdies (1/2) and 17 pars (6/11).
