WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team dropped game two of its series with Radford 11-2 on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, GU slides to 8-15 on the season while Radford improves to 11-10.
ON THE RECORD
"I thought Radford obviously came out like we knew they would. They're a well-coached team and they came out the more aggressive team in the first inning, and really made it difficult for us to kind of get back into the ball game. I felt that
Marshall Whitmer,
Griffin O'Connor and
Nadell Booker gave us a chance to keep the game within reach. We just didn't have it today and their pitcher did a good job. Their bullpen did a good job as well to keep us off balance. We'll come back out tomorrow with a chance to win a series on a Sunday. We always look forward to that at our home ballpark." - Head Coach
Edwin Thompson
