WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team dropped an 11-inning contest to George Mason 8-6 on Friday afternoon. With the setback, GU slides to 4-9 on the season while Mason improves to 9-4.
ON THE RECORD
"Tough game today. Throughout the game, we had chances to score, and we didn't do it, and we left a lot of guys on base today. The story was, they executed when it mattered the most, and we didn't. I think that's unfortunate.
Kai Leckszas was fantastic out of the bullpen and JT gave us a solid start, getting through the sixth. Kavi had that big home run there to tie it up in the seventh. We just couldn't get the big hit, we needed to, but they did it. We have to have a short memory as we play another good team tomorrow." - Head Coach
Edwin Thompson
