WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's lacrosse fell 7-3 to visiting Denver in BIG EAST action on Saturday at Cooper Field. The No. 13 Hoyas drop to 7-4 overall and 2-1 in league play while the Pioneers improve to 7-5 on the year and 2-1 in conference action.

How it Happened
- A low scoring affair from the jump, Denver got on board first at the 7:32 mark and added another two minutes later – the only scoring of the opening frame.
- In the second, Georgetown scored less than a minute into the frame while the Pioneers answered back at the 10:31 mark to lead 3-1. Denver scored with 10 second left in the half to take a 4-1 lead into the break.
- Coming out of halftime, the Hoyas once again scored first to make it a two-goal game but DU scored with just under five minutes in the quarter to go back up 5-2. Carroll would score his second of the game with 39 ticks remaining to make it 5-3, but it was the last goal the Hoyas would muster in the game.
- Denver shut the Hoyas out in the fourth quarter while adding two goals to seal the 7-3 victory.
Denver Notes
- Noah Manning led the Pioneers with four goals and an assist.
- In goal, Malcolm Kleban (5-3) had 11 saves in the win.
Georgetown Notes
- With his two points, Carroll moves into 23rd place all time on the Georgetown career scoring list with 121 points. He passes Craig Berge '18 and Peter Conley '17 on the list.
- With 10 combined goals, it was the lowest scoring game for the Hoyas since a 6-4 loss to Duke in 2007.
